CSIR – IIP Recruitment 2023 Overview – 

Required Qualification for CSIR – IIP Recruitment 2023 – 

Technical Assistant – 

• (i) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Electronics OR EEE/Civil/Chemical Engg of at least 3 years full time duration or at least 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course or its equivalent with experience of two years in the relevant area/field.
• (ii) B.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks having chemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology as one of the subjects and one year experience in relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/Organization.

Technician – 

• SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI trade certificate or 2 years full time experience as an apprentice training from a recognized institution OR
• 3 years of work experience in trades of “Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) or Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) / Turner/Glass Blowing/ Plumbing/ Carpentry/ R&AC/ Welder/Mason/ Fitter/ Diesel Mechanic/ Motor Mechanic/ Electronics/ Library/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant/Boiler Attendant” Trades.

• Technical Assistant – 24 posts  
• Technician – 27 posts

Age Limit: 28 Years

Age Relaxation:

• The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years  for SC/ST
• Up to 03 years for OBC
• Others as per Govt. instruction

Salary –

• Technical Assistant: Rs. 59,196/-
• Technician: Rs. 33,118/-

Application fees – 

• The candidates belonging to UR and OBC categories are required to submit the application fee of Rs. 500/-
• The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Women/CSIR Employees/Ex-Servicemen/Abroad Candidates category are exempted from the application fee.

Selection Process – 

• The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for a Trade/SkiIl test in the relevant area.
• Those who will qualify in the Trade/Skill will be invited for a competitive OMR/Computer based objective type multiple choice examination, which will consist of three viz. Paper-I, II & III. Paper-I will be qualifying in nature.
• The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II & III.Paper-II & III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to determined by the Selection Committee) in
