IREL (India) Limited, the erstwhile Indian Rare Earths Limited was incorporated on August 18,1950, with its first unit Rare Earths Division (RED), Aluva, in Kerala. It became a full-fledged Government of India Undertaking under the administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in year 1963 and took over companies engaged in mining and separation of Atomic Minerals in southern part of the country at Chavara, Kerala and the other at Manavalakurichi (MK), Tamilnadu.

IREL commissioned its largest flagship Mining & Mineral separation unit Orissa Sands Complex (OSCOM) at Chatrapur, Odisha in 1986. Presently IREL has established plant capacity of about 6 lakhs tons per annum of minerals processing to produce processed minerals i.e. Ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon, Sillimanite and Garnet. IREL has also set up a Rare Earths Extraction Plant at Odisha to produce about 11,000 ton Rare Earth Concentrate in terms of RE Chloride and associated products.

Required Qualification for IREL India Limited Apprentice Recruitment 2023 :

Graduate Apprentices:

Mechanical/Mining/Electrical/Civil: B.E/B.Tech or its equivalent in relevant discipline.

Technician Apprentices:

Mechanical/Mining/Electrical/Chemical/Instrumental: Diploma in relevant discipline

Trade Apprentices:

Lab-Asst. (Chemical Plant): B.Sc. (Chemistry) or ITI Lab. Asst. (Chemical Plant)
Executive (HR): MBA (HRM)/ MA (IR &PM) or equivalent qualification
Executive (F & A): CA/ICWAI/MFC/MBA (F &A)/ PGD in Finance Management

Trade Apprentices (ITI):

Industrial Painter/Plumber: ITI in relevant discipline

Age Limit :

Minimum 18 years
Maximum 25 years
- Age relaxation:
  - For SC/ST categories is up to 5 years
  - For OBC (NCL) up tp 3 years
  - For PwD up to 10 years

IREL Apprentice Salary :

as Per Apprentices act. 1961

Selection Process :

The selection process will be based on the fulfillment of the criteria w.r.t. educational qualification, marks, age, etc., they will only be eligible for engagement as Apprentices on the basis of a merit list based on marks scored in specified educational qualification, subject to being found “Medically Fit” by IREL (India) Limited’s Medical Officer.
